Last week the sweet Meyer Lemon was Litsa’s try something new. Since she had so many lemons, a new juicing recipe was created. The Meyer lemons in this recipe could easily be substituted with regular lemons, mandarin oranges or tangerines. After a day of sitting, this juice became even sweeter as the juices merged. This would be a great juicing recipe for children since it’s on the sweet side!
This recipe made about 4.5 pints of fresh citrus apple juice. Litsa and I both use mason jars for storing our fresh juice. I like to use the white plastic caps instead of the metal rings and seals for my juicing jars. It just makes it easier having one piece instead of two! Keep in mind that if you use a masticating juicer, fresh juice can be stored in the refrigerator for 72 hours.
- 1 knot ginger, peeled
- 1 lime, peeled
- 2 Meyer lemons, peeled
- 10-12 small apples
- 1 cup water
- Place all of the produce in a juicer.
- Add 1 cup water at the end to flush out the remaining juice from the juicer.
- If you used a masticating juicer, it can be stored for 72 hours in the refrigerator.
