Ways to Save: Free Savings Account

Do you have a savings account? I admit that we currently do not have a savings account. The bank we currently use has a minimum balance requirement for free savings accounts. Since we are tight on money with a single income, we can’t guarantee the savings account would be above minimum. And who wants to pay a fee for a savings account?

The good news is I just learned about Capital One 360 Savings. There are no minimum balance requirements and it is totally free. Also, we don’t have to change banks! We can link our current checking account to the Capital One 360 Savings account for money transfers (which are free!).

I think we will set up a savings account for our vacation later this year. Even if we only deposit $5 at a time, it will add up in the long run!
