If you have a lot of children’s books that your kids have outgrown, thredUP is offering a chance to swap them! From now until June 14, thredUP will pay $5 in swap credits for your used books. You’ll also receive a Summer Reading Package worth over $40 for simply recycling used books on thredUP.
This summer, moms can exchange boxes of books online and will receive recycling rewards in return.
We’ve partnered with BookSwim, eBookFling and Chronicle Books , so every time you send a box of used children’s books to another family, you’ll receive coupon codes redeemable for the books you need.
So how does it work?
Signup for thredUP. Once you are registered, they will send you flat rate shipping boxes. If you don’t want to wait for the boxes, just head to the post office and pick up free flat rate boxes. List your box on thredUP. Once another person requests your box, you will be notified. thredUP generates the shipping label and schedules home pick-up, so you can send the box without leaving the house.
The $5 credit you receive can be used on a box of clothes, toys or books from thredUP.
Remember that your kids can participate in the summer reading programs too! Once they are done with the books- swap them!
