Today we are headed to my home state of California for Thirsty Thursday wine tasting! The goal of Thirsty Thursday is to find good and cheap wines for under $10.
I came across Middle Sister when I made a mad dash to the grocery store on my lunch hour. The label caught my eye- the middle sister standing out. Yep, that would be my sister!
You all know how I love red wine. I couldn’t resist the Rebel Red– although I was never a rebel but my sister was. Rebel Red is a mixed blend of 38% Zinfandel, 34% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Syrah, 2% mixed red varietals.
Rebel Red smells like ripe berries. At first taste it is very smooth and tastes like berries. I love that the smell and taste are the same. Although it tastes of ripe summer berries it is not sweet. I liked the finish- the wine was smooth from first sip until the end. The fruity flavor caries throughout the tasting as well.
Rebel Red is a perfect red wine for just about anything. From steaks to salads to pasta, Rebel Red is a perfect fit. You can find Rebel Red for just under $10.
By the way, Middle Sister donates a minimum of $10,000 a year to women’s causes. I love companies that pay it forward!
As always, make sure you drink responsibly.
Make sure you check out Kansas City Mamas to view the other Thirsty Thursday posts!
Do you have a suggestion for a good and cheap wine under $10? Please leave a comment and let me know!

Thanks for the review! I saw this as we were shopping as well and almost picked it up for my sister… my middle sister who is a rebel with red hair, ha! I hesitated because I didn’t want to buy a wine just because of a cute label, but I’ll be sure to pick up a bottle now.
