Pineapple Mango Green Smoothie

Are you back into the swing of school routines with your household? Did eating breakfast fall by the wayside in your ‘get healthy’ list for 2015?

It doesn’t have to with this simple blender organization list. The Blender Girl, Tess Masters, shared with us a few easy steps to master the frenzy of fast, furious, families—-well, only how to deal with making smoothies a breeze while you are dealing with the f.a.m.i.l.y.

Tips for ‘Smooth’ Sailing—and healthy breakfasts (on the go):

  1. Shop on Sundays for smoothies. Stockpile the ingredients you want for your smoothies on Sunday so that they are fresh and on hand.
  2. Prep seven smoothie packs for the week. You get to pick what day. If Sunday works best, go for it. Load all measured solid ingredients into zip-top bags, starting with heavier ingredients on bottom—don’t forget the ice. Write which liquids you want to add to the smoothie onto the bag. Store bags in freezer until you are ready to use them.
  3. Blend smoothies faster and smoother. Consistent, tasty smoothies is part of the win, win in wanting one every morning. To achieve this consistency in the least amount of time, pour the liquid into the blender FIRST. Then dump in the baggie ingredients you have ready. Not using a pack—still go with liquids first and then soft foods, leafy greens and end with the hard, heavy ingredients.
  4. Make clean up quick. Is it ever quick!?! Indeed it is. Count the joy as you clean. After you pour up your smoothie and taste it, rinse the pitcher immediately. Fill the blender with warm water, add a touch of dish soap, blend on high for 30 secs and rinse—well, wasn’t that easy!?!

Let’s go blend our smoothies! Don’t forget to add chia seeds! They are perfect in decadent, rich smoothies!
