Concentrate on ONE Store for Added Savings & Sanity: Making the decision to clip and file coupons and watch deals on How to Have it All adds to the monumental task of daily living. However, if you allot a specific amount of time that you will spend reading and searching for deals/clipping and filing coupons, you will be more successful and less stressed. Additionally, there are many retail stores to concentrate on sales—-advertised and unadvertised deals (i.e. manager’s special, roll back, final markdown, closeout, etc.). IF you are new to the wealth of savings, refocus as you concentrate on ONE store for your family’s groceries, toiletries, etc.
Concentrating on one store will afford you the opportunity to learn where items are located (by store section, aisles, clearance bins/sections, etc.). You will be able to hone in on prices of specific items you use such as Tide, Windex, Secret deodorant, Garnier Style Products, etc. As you continue to return to this store for daily needs and for your home’s stockpiles, you’ll save time by going straight to where you know the product is located. You’ll scan the price tag. Is it a sale price or a regular priced item? You’ll search for a coupon for the product and determine quickly whether to buy it or not.
As this method becomes second nature at your first stop shop, you can add in a second store and begin to learn its layout and prices like an expert! Then when you see a sale price elsewhere, you’ll know quickly if it’s really a sale—better than your first stop shop. Additionally, when you frequent stores that you normally don’t shop at until you are out of town, you can enjoy sales on products your store does not carry. Being an expert at one or two stores will quickly bring your stress level down and help you focus on the savings you are looking for——-eventually the items you need will be on sale; hold on to that coupon!
