As many of you know, I recently went to San Diego for the BlogHer Conference and A Social Soiree. When I was in fourth grade I lived in the San Diego area for two years. It was nice to visit again and enjoy the beautiful weather!
Can you believe that I did not take one picture while I was there? I can’t believe it either! The weather was absolutely perfect and the sky was beautiful blue. And not one picture. Luckily, you can view some awesome pictures over at Short and Hat. Warning: if you look at the pictures you will surely want to visit!
I was so busy with conference stuff that I did not get to sight see much in San Diego. We did walk around the Gas Lamp District which was a lot of fun. By the way if you do visit San Diego, forget the Pedi-cab. The regular cab was much more affordable believe it or not! The San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau has a great list of entertainment and sites to see.
I have given you all a lot of travel tips this summer. Research, planning and using sites like Book It are great ways to save money on vacations.
Have you visited San Diego before?

We got every year to LegoLand California (which is just north of San Diego).
I despise theme parks….but I LOVE legoland. Cheaper tix are available through club stores like Costco OR if you know somone who gets the Lego Club or Lego Jr. magazine (which is free) there is always a B1 adult G1 child coupon. My kids are 3-7 and they all love love love it!
We went to Disneyland one year and it was so overcrowded it was disgusting.

Hi Debi,
I have never been to LegoLand! I am sure my boys would love it. We will have to add that to our list of places to visit. We have not done Disneyland or Disney World yet either. I want to wait until they are old enough to remember it. Plus I am not crazy about the crowds. Not to mention how expensive it is!
I have an upcoming trip to San Diego in November for a work conference and will get to spend a couple of days to roam around and explore the place. Thanks for the Conventions & Bureau Visitors link! Can’t wait to have a good time there!
