If you are going to be away from home this summer, remember to turn up the thermostat before leaving. If you are going for a long period of time, you may want to consider turning the air conditioner off.
We always leave ours on but just at a higher temperature. I also make sure to close the blinds in the sunny windows to help keep the house cool. Since it is really hot right now turning the system completely off would mean it would have to work really hard once we got home.
There is no sense running your air conditioner at full speed if you aren’t going to be home to enjoy it!
