I am sure that many of you have Holiday cards laying around. I know I have a pile of them! In one way greeting cards seem like a waste to me since most of the time they get thrown out. Greeting cards can be recycled though and put to good use!
St. Jude’s Ranch for Children rescues abused, abandoned and neglected children. The children are cared for and taught life skills so they can break the abuse cycle. St. Jude’s Ranch has a Recycled Card Program to help teach the children entrepreneurship. The children make new greeting cards out of the donated cards and are then paid for their work. The “new” greeting cards are then sold in packets of 10 for $10.
If you have any greeting cards laying around, check them out to see if they qualify for a donation to St. Jude’s Ranch.
Card Donating Tips:
- All types of greeting cards, including Christmas are used. High demand for Birthday and Thank You cards.
- Only the card front can be used (please check to be sure the back side is clear of any writing, etc.)
- We can not accept Hallmark, Disney or American Greeting cards.
- 5″ x 7″ size or smaller is preferred.
- Mail donations to :
