It’s summer time but the perfect time to grab a stack of books, magazines, sticker books, coloring books and more! Head outdoors with your favorite stack and your softest quilt/blanket—-and drinks! There’s no rhyme and reason as to what might transpire but pure enjoyment from being with your children (without television and/or social media—-or the distraction of chores)!?!
As the intensity of the heat of summer is magnified, you may enjoy the early morning hours outdoors. Whenever you find the perfect half-hour or hour, grab your stack of reading/writing material and allow the wonder to unfold. I (Litsa) would suggest separate times for electronics (ipads, audio books, etc.) outside together as a family. The beauty of printed material and journals is that it allows you time to connect because through reading and writing, one is creating. As one’s mind is filling with content and images inspiration evokesĀ ideas that leads to conversation.
Uninterrupted conversation with our child(ren)….
Priceless piles of summer memories to cherish!
What reading/writing materials are making your outdoor piles colorful this summer? And don’t forget about all of the summer reading programs for kids!
