Packing to Travel

suitcaseEvery two months or more often, we (Litsa’s family) are traveling somewhere!?! Our trip might be four hours away from home—two or eight but when we are not flying, the traveling gear seems to spread out like messy jam on toast. There are literally items everywhere.

One suitcase houses my daughter’s clothes/shoes. One suitcase contains my clothes and accessories. One backpack holds my laptop, journals, plugs, etc. My camera bag contains my purse items and my camera—and its accessories. Then there are magazines and extra shoes. And snacks…….

Before we leave home, the truck is packed from top to bottom—–and we are already pulling items out of the bags for our road travel! Then I wonder what happened when we arrive at our destination and try to get settled!?! Did we even use luggage?

I blamed it on the duffel bag once.

Or maybe, the truck—-a vehicle with no trunk!?! However, I have a toolbox that is often filled to the brim when we are coming home from my parent’s house!?!

City shopping!?!

Now as I neatly pack for our air travel, I’m reminding myself that EVERYTHING must neatly fit into two suitcases and two small carry-on pieces!?!

Is it feasible?

Indeed it is.

I pack for air travel at least once a year but when I’m traveling by car, I’m not sure what happens!?!

How do you contain your belongings for traveling near and/or far?
