Marie Callender's Pot Pie

According to a Bon Apetit blogger, there are certain store bought items that are better than homemade. One of the items that made the list was Marie Callender’s Pot Pie. I had never had a Marie Callender’s Pot Pie and I was asked to review one.

What held me back from trying a frozen pot pie previously was the long cooking time. However, after tasting the Creamy Mushroom Pot Pie the long cooking time will not longer be a factor!

Baked Pot Pie

What I loved about the Marie Callender’s Pot Pie is the crust is golden and flaky- and not just the top crust. The whole pastry part of the pie is perfect. The ingredients inside were also high quality. The vegetables were cooked perfectly- not mushy.

Chicken Pot Pie

The white meat chicken pieces were also large and tasty. I really enjoyed the flavor of the mushroom sauce. The Marie Callender’s Pot Pies are supposed to serve two people. I enjoyed it so much that I ate the whole thing myself!

If you are looking for a hearty and flavorful meal, give Marie Callender’s Pot Pies a try. I think they are also reasonably priced at around $2.75.
