Dan Buettner’s The Blue Zones Solution: Eating and Living Like the World’s Healthiest People outlines the most important longevity-boosting habits of centenarians around the globe. Even if you adopt only a few of these habits, you’ll stand a better chance of celebrating your 100th birthday.
1. Find your tribe. Individuals that we choose to hang out with can impact our health. Strong connections with others helps us live longer.
2. Eat smart. Buettner suggests that those living close to 100 stick with diets that are 95 to 100 percent plant-based.
3. Seek a purpose. What’s your passion? Your purpose? Find a path that motivates you and gives your life meaning—seek it!
4. Move it. No strenuous exercise program is needed. Just walking to the grocery store, making bread for scratch, etc—embracing lifestyles that promote physical activity.
Are you climbing this ‘Blue Zones Power Pyramid’ in your twenties, thirties, forties, fifties, or………..nineties?
