What do you get when you combine a Sunday paper, two boys and a stapler?
Well in my case, you get stapled coupon inserts!
Capt. M had a brilliant plan Sunday. He found the long lost stapler and a whole box of staples. He wanted to make a paper sword so he got to work. The only problem, he picked up my coupon inserts! It’s hard to see in the picture but the whole insert is stapled together about a gazillion times.
I had to take a mommy time out– for real!
Inside I was screaming “not my coupons” but on the outside I calmly explained that he needed to ask me before he started stapling next time. Even though I was greatly disappointed in loosing my coupons, I didn’t want to overreact- which I am prone to doing! Plus it was just a simple mistake- all Capt. M saw was the Chuck E. Cheese ad and thought it would make for a good sword!
Do you ever have those moments when you need a mommy time out? A few moments to calm down before blowing a gasket? I found it’s just best to walk away for a few minutes and then come back to the situation.
Now to find the staple remover!
