We had beautiful weather this past weekend after crazy snowstorm last Wednesday. Thus we spent several hours outside soaking up the sun. Mr. B came running over to me with a hand full of daffodils. Amazing that they are in bloom as they were covered with 8″ of snow a few days ago!
Of course I was not thrilled that he had picked my daffodils- they are my favorite Spring flower. He was so sweet and said “Mom I picked these for you because I want you to be happy!”
How could I be upset with that perfect little smile and thoughtfulness?!
I placed the daffodils in a little vase and set them on the windowsill. Mr. B went on to say that they have stems so they will grow. I took the opportunity to explain that they will only grow if we don’t pick them! I assured him that I loved the ones he picked but it would be best to let the rest of the daffodils grow in the garden.
Little hands are sometimes not helpful, but their heart is made of gold!
