Kroger Savings: Segment Shopping

krogerWhen our grocery list has been completed and there is a freezer full of food—–and a pantry/bathroom cabinet full, I like to continue to shop! I call it SEGMENT SHOPPING so that I can continue to stretch my family’s stockpile. I like to keep it FULL of items we’ll use, give away, and/or gift to others. I can only segment shop when prices are rock bottom. Thus, I look for sales, coupons, Catalina offers, and money saving apps to align. This week, they did just that at Kroger during the MEGA EVENT!

I was able to use this Powerade Zero deal to grab two free Powerade Zeros after the Ibotta offer was redeemed on my phone and my husband’s phone.

POWERADE ZERO (32 oz) – $0.89
Use $0.50/1 POWERADE ZERO printable
Ibotta $0.50 deposit to your account
FREE item that we’ll donate to my nephew and niece.

This coupon offer below aligned with the Neutrogena Catalina + Kroger Mega Event:

Buy (4) Neutrogena Acne-Prone Facial Bar (3.5 oz) – $2.87 each (Sale Price)
Use (2) $3/2 Any Neutrogena Items printable
Pay as low as $1.37 each, get back $5.00 OYNO
Final cost is $0.48 for all four

I also took the opportunity to stockpile additional Suave Professionals Shampoo and Conditioner for $0.19 each (Plus tax) and Schick Razors so that we could use the sale price and coupons for a better buy!

Segment shopping allows me to take a break from coupons and deals when I’m away from my computer and/or home. Vacations away from the routines of life help make the craziness of deal chasing worth it.

At Kroger today, I dished out $20 for all of these purchases but I SAVED $29.47—-and I have razors, shampoo, conditioner, garbage bags and more to streeeeeeetch us into spring’s sunny days away from home and couponing!?!

What are you segment shopping for this week and/or next if your cabinets are already full!?!

Thanks KrogerKrazy for the Neutrogena notations!
