Normally when I hull strawberries I use a knife to cut the tops off. This year when making strawberry jam I noticed that there was some of the berry going to waste when cutting the tops. I remembered that I was given a Chef’n Stem Gem Strawberry Huller for Christmas and decided I should give it a try. What a difference in berry waste!
There was very little of the berry taken out when we used the strawberry huller. It was very easy to use. There is a little button to push to release the “claw” around the green stem. Then with a little twist the berry stem comes right out. Both my sons were able to use the strawberry huller with ease and little strawberry waste.
No more knives for cutting tops off strawberries – get a strawberry huller!
