I headed to town yesterday since Irene could possibly head this way. I wanted to fill up my gas tank and purchase water since we live on a well. Since I was already in town, I stopped into Harris Teeter for a few good deals. I ended up with 12.5 lbs of skinless boneless chicken breast- it was the lowest price I have seen in a long time!
HT Frozen Skinless Boneless Chicken Breast (2.5 lb.), $9.99
— Buy 2 bags, get 3 bags free (works out to be $1.60/lb. – great deal!)
Various Produce: Peaches, Plums and Nectarines are $0.97/lb. Carrots, Cherry Tomatoes and Mushrooms were $0.97 each. Broccolini $2.99.
Playtex Tampons, $2.64
$2/1 Playtex Gentle Glide Tampons, exp. 10/9/11 (SS 08/14/11)
$0.64 ea. after coupon
(3) Skippy peanut Butter, $1.49
(3) $0.75/1 Skippy Peanut Butter Product, exp. 8/28/11 (RP 07/31/11 R)
FREE after double coupon
(3) International Delight Creamers, $1.87 ea.
(2) Nature’s Own Whole Wheat Bread, $1.64 ea.
Spent: $38.92
Saved: $51.66 or 57%
I then went on to Kroger and spent $45 on the rest of our groceries. Since the two stores are right next to each other, it is not a problem for me to cherry pick the deals. Harris Teeter has great sales but really high everyday prices.
How did you do this week? Score and good deals?
