Thanksgiving

I wanted to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!

As we celebrate with family and friends today, take a few moments to count your blessings. Many times we forget about the many things our lives are blessed with. Life is too short – be thankful for what you have. I am reflecting on this year with so many things to be thankful for! Here are just a few things that I am thankful for this year:

  • My supportive husband! He has always supported my crazy ideas and gives me the freedom to implement them!
  • My boys (of course!). They bring so many laughs and fun times.
  • My karate family. The dojo is our second home and we have fallen in love with the supportive families. I don’t know what we would do with out our karate family!
  • Water. When we visited my family in California recently, the water crisis was apparent. Here in Virginia we turn on the faucet without a worry while in California they carefully monitor every drop. It’s a serious situation that breaks my heart.
  • Time. I am thankful for any bit of time I have spent with my parents, siblings and extended family this year. Since we live on opposite coasts, it is a rare occasion that we are together. But when we do see each other, I cherish every second, every laugh, hug and smile.
  • My assistants Litsa and Ashley. I could not run How to Have it All without you! Litsa, you are truly keep me organized! Plus I love your ideas! Ashley- the recipe index would be a lot less exciting without your terrific cooking skills!
  • My job. My home. My animals. Really the list goes on and on!

Take some time today to think about the things you are thankful for. Spend time with family and friends with no distractions- I know it’s hard with all of these shopping deals coming- but it’s worth it!
