Feel Great Plan Day 5: Slow Down Aging
Dr. Oz created “Dr. Oz’s 5-Day Feel Great Plan” to improve five key aspects of your health: metabolism, immunity, brainpower, sleep habits and how you age.
Eat Walnuts. They contain biotin which strengthens nails and may help thinning hair. They also have omega-3s, which may help reduce wrinkles.
Many of us want to slow down aging! Now that I’m 40, I definitely want to include myself into this category! Pass the walnuts!?! It’s a great time of the year to buy up walnuts from grocery stores after the holidays. Add them to salads or trail mixes or keep a jar on your desk (some in your pocket)! Mainly, get in those omega-3’s that can also be found in chia seeds!
Drink Dr. Oz’s ‘green drink.’ It’s packed with antiaging antioxidants. Mix 2 cups spinach, 2 cups cucumber, 1 head of celery, 1/2 tsp. gingerroot, 1 bunch parsley, 2 apples, the juice of 1 lime, and the juice of 1 lemon in a blender. Makes 3 to 4 cups.
Drink Green daily! If it’s not a green smoothie, try a green juice. If you’d rather eat. Dissect the ingredient lists of green drinks and start eating. The key to drinking green juices and/or smoothies is that your body can intake all of these green goddess goods daily!
Do Check your Vitamin D Level. A new study shows, women with high levels of vitamin D will have about five extra years of cell division. When your cells can’t divide, the effects of again become more noticeable.
Vitamin-D can be taken in the form of a supplement but you can eat it too! Don’t forget the daily walks so that you are soaking up a few Vitamin D rays!
