A few days ago I needed sliced olives for a pasta salad I was making. In the pantry I found a can of whole pitted olives. The task of slicing whole olives is time consuming and I was in a hurry. Contemplating for a minute, I decided that I could easily slice the olives with an egg slicer!
My egg slicer holds four medium sized pitted black olives. the nice thing about using the slicer is that all of the olive slices were uniform. It was very easy to slice the can of olives using the egg slicer method.
Are there other kitchen gadgets that you repurpose? I would love to learn little tricks that makes cooking easier!
