When hubby and I went on our first date 16 years ago, we met at the tennis courts. Although I was not a skilled tennis player, we had a blast! Throughout the years hubby and I have continued to stay active and we are now passing our love of sports onto our sons. Most weekends you will find us in our backyard, on a hike, at the soccer field or at the park. As I type this, my boys and hubby are out throwing the baseball around in the yard! In order to fuel our active lifestyle, we try to eat balanced meals. After all, physical activity and good nutrition lead to a healthy lifestyle!
Quaker has asked me to spread the word about the For the Love of Play campaign happening this fall. Quaker is joining forces with Fuel Up to Play 60 and the NFL to help fuel healthy families and encourage them to get active for 60 minutes of play a day. Get up off the couch and get active as a family! It doesn’t have to be an organized sport, simple games in your yard or even indoors will do.
Now through December 1, 2014, you can visit QuakerMakethePlay.com to share the unique way that your family plays for a chance to win a grand prize “Day of Play” in your hometown with Indianapolis Colts Quarterback Andrew Luck, plus daily giveaways for a $50 NFLShop.com online gift card.
Playing as a family is good for the soul! It creates a lot of laughs and memories!

Lacrosse is a game we are trying to learn together as a family. It’s a physical challenge for all of us, but it’s a lot of fun!
