I know some of you are cringing at me right now! I’m bringing up Christmas before Halloween. The reality is, Christmas is 90 days away. Start planning now to make the most of your budget and time.
Here are some tips:
- Homemade Gifts: If you are making homemade gifts, start the process now. Last year I wrote a whole series on Heartfelt Holidays focusing on homemade items. I hope to do some additional posts in the series this year. If you are going to make Homemade Vanilla Extract, you need to get that going now! Make sure to check out the Heartfelt Holidays posts for more inspiration!
- Online Shopping: If you are shopping online, make sure to use the coupon code database. You can search by product or store. Look for free shipping codes or additional discounts.
- Inventory: Make sure to take inventory of the gifts you have on hand. I shop year round for Christmas. Sometimes I forget what I have already. Pull all of the gifts out of your stockpile and take inventory.
- Budget: Set a budget and stick to it. Sit down and really dig into your finances. Figure out what you can afford to spend this year. Remember you don’t have to buy the most extravagant gifts; giving from the heart is what means the most!
Do you have a plan in place for Christmas yet? Have you even started thinking about it yet? If you have a homemade gift idea, I would love to hear about it!
