About this time last year I strolled into a Godiva store. I was enticed by the pictures of the chocolate covered strawberries- they looked so good! I inquired about the price of just one strawberry- I was going to treat myself. I almost fell over when the lady told me the price- it was something like $7 for one strawberry!
Dipping chocolate can easily be made at home. You could buy the chocolate, strawberries and even marshmallows for under $5.
For the chocolate use chocolate chips, Baker’s Dipping Chocolate or Candy Melt. All of these products can be melted int he microwave. Just place in a microwave safe dish and microwave for 1 minute. Stir and then continue to microwave at 15 second intervals until smooth.
We ate ours right away. But you could place them on waxed paper, let the chocolate dry and deliver them to a friend!
There are so many things that you could dip in chocolate- including pretzel sticks which are fun to give out too!

Seriously!! You have the CUTEST children on the planet!! Adorable! And your snack looks awesome, too :)
One year we had a dipping party for my daughters birthday. I made aprons from scraps of fabric and lace sewn quickly on to tie it.. We has paper hats from a restaurant where my hubby worked. We dipped pretzels, cookies, granola bars, fruit, etc. The kids each went home with a box of dipped treats. It was a bit messy but an absolute hit. The costs were low and we had a great time.
That is a great idea Tricia! I will have to keep that idea in mind for my sons 5th Birthday. He loves to dip things in chocolate- who wouldn’t? Thanks for stopping by!
Looks like fun and delicious! Spending more time with your boys is definitely a success story.
