Disney Cars 2 Deal

We went to see Cars 2 at the theater yesterday with our pre-purchased tickets from Fandango. The idea behind Fandango is that you don’t have to wait in line. Plus you don’t have to worry about the tickets being sold out. I was able to purchase our Cars 2 tickets one week ahead of time! Find out how I easily ordered my tickets using the Fandango mobile app in my This Moment post.

We did run into a snag though. When we arrived at the theater there was a huge line with only one ticket booth open. There was a sign for a line just for Fandango users but it was not open. I walked to the front of the line and asked the only worker and he said that I would have to stand in line. Needless to say, I was not very happy. What was the point of pre-purchase if I had to stand in line?

I ended up talking to the manager as I was waiting in line for popcorn. He said that normally there is a dedicated line for Fandango purchases but I just happened to come when there was a shift change. I don’t think this was a Fandango problem but more of a movie theater under staffing problem. The good news was we still were able to see the movie!

My hubby, 4 year old, 3 year old and I all enjoyed Cars 2. It is action packed and full of bright colors. There are many funny scenes and I think Matter stole the show! Just a warning, there are guns and violence in Cars 2. However, I think the overall message was great.

You can view the trailer for Cars 2 online. Plus there are so many other great movies coming out soon like Transformers: Dark of the Moon – 6/29 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 – 7/15. You can view all upcoming movies on Fandango. Currently if you buy your ticket via Fandango you will get a free iTunes download. Mine came a day ofter the purchase via email.

Did any of you see Cars 2 this weekend? What did you think? Did you purchase your tickets with Fandango?
