Enter for a chance to win a $1000 gift card to Ann Taylor! Now, that would definitely work for me—-or maybe even for my husband who allows me to shop at Ann Taylor (He really doesn’t know I do but wouldn’t object if he did!). Ha! I (Litsa) love Ann Taylor’s classic but hip clothing! The fit is perfect and the styles versatile enough for the classroom (when I taught—when I go back to the classroom) and/or trendy enough for preschool pick up or just shopping the Kroger deals! I also love Ann Taylor’s clothing while blogging—-classic but they are often paired with compliments! Try Ann Taylor’s clothing for yourself——-or at least WIN this gift card so that we can shop together!
Now, you know I love a great deal—-and a coupon in hand will normally land me just that but sometimes we just have to think on our feet when it comes to our FAVORITE brands! When Ann Taylor sent me their LOOKBOOK for the spring (Yes! I’m a new cardholder. I waited for years for this small luxury and finally caved in but vow to keep my balance at zero so that I can grab deals when I need them!), it had a coupon attached to it! I pulled it out and placed it in the back of my coupon binder just in case I needed to use it…okay, wanted to use it! I did need to use it—–my button down cotton blouse in medium from Ann Taylor was running a bit large. Thus, I ordered a new small one and another blue one too——and two other items. They were shipped here for free prior to our trip to the “Ann Taylor” city of Memphis. I had to return the jeans that didn’t fit perfectly. Then, on my next trip to the “Ann Taylor” city of Atlanta, I was able to visit the store to try on jeans and pay off my card! No jeans in my size—a little unlucky until I found the perfect mini, black pencil skirt—a classic! I had to have it. And the cardigan too—–but I reminded myself that I was choosing to be a stay at home mom. I could pick-up and drop-off my toddler, go to the park, blog and more in workout gear. I didn’t really have to have the $78 skirt, the $28 cami, and the $68 cardigan! Did I? Of course, I did. But I chose only two——-and used a coupon for added savings! Then, paid my card off immediately after charging my new classics to it (for future rewards). I asked the sales lady if she’d write down the cardigan’s information: style, color #, etc. for me so that I could WATCH it. I must say this was a smart move since the cardigan was on sale today only (Tuesday) for $34—-and after adding in a pair of jeans to try on at home again, I was able to use a $30 off coupon. Thus, my $68 cardigan became $21.97 plus tax. It will pair perfectly with my black skirt and make a striking outfit for Easter and/or Mother’s Day or both—–and I’ll love wearing it while sitting at home enjoying a cup of coffee while blogging and raising my toddler!
Moral of my Ann Taylor Shopping Trips: Know your brands and/or stores—watch their sales and wait out the best deals! Even if you want it all, make a choice. You are sure to be rewarded. And if you don’t win a deal as you wait, I’m sure that another one will be right around the corner! Like this one:
