Kroger Mega Event

I went to Kroger this week for a big grocery haul. Since my Kroger is 30 minutes away I do my regular shopping- not just cheap and free items. So my out of pocket expense is a little high for what you might think for a mega event.

I bought $22.45 worth of meat.

I also did the Huggies deal since my boys still use Pullups at night. The catalina did not print. Since the catalina was listed in the ad, I took my receipt to customer service. The associate there stated that sometimes the cashiers turn off the catalina machines! She handed me $5 cash and I was a happy camper! So the Huggies deal added $14.65 to my bill.

I also purchased produce, bread and two gallons of milk. Not pictured are two boxes of Capri-sun which are part of the Mega Event as well.

I purchased 40 Mega Event items!

Total Spent: $100.30

Total Saved: $84.07 or 46%

So, not the best savings total. But when you take into account the expensive items I bought- like the Pullups- it’s not a bad total!

Make sure you check out the Mega Event deal list. I have a huge list of unadvertised Mega Event deals!

How did you do this week? Score any good deals?

Our Kroger is a hop, skip away so I love to go in there daily! My husband says that they probably don’t like to see me coming but….The deals this week have been great! They had great “Manager Special” prices on items not usually marked down! Carmex for $0.49, Shaving cream for $2.09, ThermaCare heating pads $2.29……and some of these items, I even had coupons for! LOVE! And our Kroger now has “No SIGN” on the credit card transactions under a certain amount so it saves me time….NoW, I just need to remember to stay away! HA!
