Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. I love the crisp mornings, the colors and the smell of yummy apple treats cooking! My boys and I decided to make a Fall banner to hang in the dining area this year. Apples and Fall colors were our inspiration for this craft. We used cut apples as stamps. This is a very easy and inexpensive craft that can be done for any season.
Apple Stamp Fall Banner
Apples cut in half and quarters to use as paint stamps
Paint (we used fall colors of orange, red, yellow and brown)
Paper plate for paint
Paper cut into squares, rectangles and triangles
Hole punch
Yarn
Cut paper into various shapes. I did not use exact measurements and found that uneven shapes actually looked cool. I used scrapbook paper that had print but you could use any thick paper.
Place paint on paper plate for easy dipping. Take the cut apples and dip in paint. A small amount of paint works best for stamping.
Let the paint dry on the paper. Once dry, punch two holes in each piece of paper. Thread the papers onto a long piece of yarn. We did ours very abstract- no real pattern.
I absolutely LOVE this banner! Of course it goes quite well with our dining area colors. This banner just might stay put for some time!
