My desk (or maybe my kitchen table!?!) is always filled with a litter of tags and coupons! I (Litsa) enjoy stretching our money and getting more for less. I am seldom seen shopping in any other area of retail stores besides the ‘clearance’ section!
Frequently when I am shopping, I also factor in gas and time! If I have made a 45 minute (or more) drive to shop at Target and/or other retailer, I may be willing to pay a little more so that I don’t have to make a second trip to town for one or two items that we need/want. Additionally, while shopping I always put needs above wants! Wants are really the items that can continue to wait….(for everyone in the family)!
This past week on social media and the news, I came across articles/status posts about decoding the codes!?! The clearance codes!?! Here is a local POST from our Channel Five station in West TN on what Andy Wise, the investigator discovered. You can read through his report yourselves and print the PriceSecrets (pdf format) to carry along with you when you shop if you are a savvy shopper and tend to pinch pennies and/or stretch your family’s dollars!
Although, I feel that I already do an awesome job of saving money and stretching the family budget—I do believe that I’ll print my own copy of ‘cracking the codes’. Knowledge is power—-resourceful at most! It helps one discern if their gut is accurate!
