The past two years, I (Litsa) have been immersed in medical paperwork: Receipts, medical bills and more. However, if you asked me when a procedure was done and/or which doctor saw…..well, you get the picture!?! Even with just one child, the paperwork can be overwhelming. I’m still finishing paying medical debts from 2012 and 2013——-and you guessed it…Medical bills from 2014 are streaming in with a new pricey procedure for my daughter right around the corner!?!
It’s our reality. I’m in the midst of it all, I have decided that we need medical logs at home. Being one that loves organization, I have to find a way to quickly jot down dates, doctors, and/or notes of what the ailment is—-I thought first that my paper/pencil calendar was best but I don’t always touch it. Thus, it’s my laptop and/or my iphone. I think that I’ll use my iphone notes and/or Evernote app to jot down little memos on my daughter’s medical records.
These medical notes will help me pair up medical bill dates accurately. Additionally, while our pediatrician is making changes in her schedule/practices, it’ll allow me to share dates and information with her if we are seeing another doctor. These are just a few of my personal reasons for beginning a medical log for my family—-and especially my daughter who seems to keep me on my toes!?!
Do you keep medical logs? Do your scroll down mini notes to just jog your memory and/or are you precise with information that is noted?
