No one likes to lose!?! Right!?!
I don’t like to lose but in reality sometimes I do.
I especially don’t like to lose when I’ve trained hard!?! Ha! Not in sports!?! I’m definitely not a competitive sports fanatic but I (Litsa) love to deal. I love deals that I stumble upon in the stores and/or those that I read about online. When I set time aside and/or I make time to read about deals, document what store, date—and which coupons and/or money saving apps to use, I want to WIN.
But sometimes, I lose.
Therefore while I’m looking and searching for deals that will extend stockpiles, save our family money and more, I have learned not to get upset when a deal does not align itself. I have a motto that I use while training (reading, jotting down notes, clipping coupons, etc.) and field testing these deals: WIN some, LOSE some!
It is an exciting day when I WIN but sometimes I do lose!?! Here’s an example from Wednesday, Feb. 19th, 2014:
- A.M. Ibotta Discovery: I found a bread ibotta offer for $0.50—Win.Win.—I already had a current receipt for buying bread in my receipt box. I dug it out and earned another $0.50 back without leaving the house.
- Kroger Deal: Only five Neutrogena soaps were left on the shelf. I picked up four to complete one deal for the day. However, I had two coupons left for purchasing four more but I was unable to complete the transaction with only one soap on the shelf. Was this a win or lose!?! Still a WIN for me since I didn’t need the four bars for $0.48 that I walked out with today. However, if this was an item that I NEEDED or WANTED, I may have considered it a loss!?!
- Kroger Deal with Powerade Zero: Two transactions, two free bottles of Powerade Zero and two receipts to scan into ibotta apps—mine and my husbands. I scanned mine and cashed in on the offer. I looked at my husband’s phone later—no Powerade offer!?! I called a friend. Not on her offers either. I checked my offers again. The offer had reposted itself. Thus, I cashed in on it again since it was a new offer with a second receipt on my ibotta account. WIN!
As you can see the deal or no deal scenarios play out when you least expect them to or even better than you expect them to—-you have to PLAY to see if you’ll have a deal!?! You might say that dealing IS my favorite game to play. It’s a challenge at times but in the loooooong run, the returns are grand for our family of three!
Win or lose!?!
WIN.
Do you win more deals than you lose or lose more than you win!?!
