One of the most frustrating things to a bargain shopper or couponer is to completely run out of an item. I stockup when the price is right and use coupons when available. I HATE paying full price for items. I try to keep a good stockpile of non-perishable food items, health & beauty items and cleaning supplies. I usually start “hunting” for a good deal when our stockpile is down to two of something.
Hubby has a bad habit of telling me he needs something from the store when he is completely out of the item! It usually goes like this. My cellphone ringsĀ and hubby says “while you are out, I need more contact solution.” I then reply, “how much do you have left? It’s not on sale this week.” Hubby then starts going “ummmm, it’s all gone!”
UGH!
It makes me want to scream!
This recently happened with coffee. Hubby drinks coffee daily and I don’t. He told me we needed more coffee when we were completely out! Coffee prices very by several dollars when the brand he likes is not on sale. If I am aware BEFORE we run out of an item, it allows me to shop around, look for coupons and wait for a sale to make the most of our money.
So what frustrates you as a bargain shopper? Is your significant other on board? Or do you get the same sort of phone calls?
