What Color is Your World!?!

The Painted House 016

How do you add color (or creativity) to your world!?! Your family’s? Your child(ren)’s world!?! “Life is the COLOR you MAKE it!” I (Litsa) love this!! Now, what color is your world……

Is it black and white!?! What you are doing now vs what you want to be doing!?! Or are you living life in RED!?! Passionately!?! Or green——do you see the grass greener on the other side!?! Or maybe BLUE—the glass is only half full or half empty!?!

As January drew nearer…..at the end of fall, I made it my goal to live life INTENTIONALLY….not to allow the dullness of life get in the way of my dreams!! The vast majority of my rainbow was going to be fully displayed in 2014. Now, we are fourteen days into the new year and I am still embracing my goal—-living intentionally!

I want my daughter to experience life in COLOR! Thus, my actions must be intentional. As she pretend played last week with Daddy in our living room, I heard them making a stop at Starbucks. Daddy asked her what she was going to order.  She said, “A blonde with sugar cream ice-cream coffee!” (insert laughter) My daughter watches me…hears me…mimics me ordering my coffee: A tall Blonde Roast with room for sugar and creamer! Love!

Thus, shouldn’t I clear my schedule and load her up into the truck and take her to the country to see the world around her? Shouldn’t she touch the sawdust in her Daddy’s shop as she helps him build a bookshelf? Shouldn’t she experience love beyond material possessions!?!

In our busy lives, sometimes we miss the colors of our world as we worry about the colors we don’t have—are not experiencing. But not this year…not this month…not this week…today. Whether you’re writing, roping, cooking——–be intentional!

Simple doses of creativity—-splashes of color will delight more than your child, yourself—your life will shine in brilliant hues!
