As I (Litsa) was reading December/January’s Family Fun 2013/14 issue, the article “Best Year Ever: 14 Happy & Healthy habits for 2014” stood out to me! Who wouldn’t want to make a list of favorites each month during the course of the year—–happy & healthy habits to embrace and/or focus upon for the BEST YEAR EVER!?!

Everyone’s list will vary……..but they should all denote simple routines and rituals that add more smiles and good memories to your coming year……..cheering you on with a list of my own happy & healthy habits for the month of January 2014.

  1. Give thanks to God for everything!
  2. Serve colorful fruits & veggies!!
  3. Celebrate small things!
  4. Exercise—walk, run, jump—MOVE the body!
  5. Eat together as a family!
  6. Use/enjoy what we HAVE now.
  7. Take advantage of family outings.
  8. Write.
  9. Read.
  10. Laugh.
  11. Craft.
  12. Drink water—and coffee!
  13. Window shop—-or just get out of the house!
  14. Call mom/dad, brothers, cousins, & friends more.
