Beef brisket is a tougher cut of meat that is meant to be slow cooked. Most of the time a brisket is either smoked or braised for several hours to gain tenderness. I made this braised beef brisket recipe over the weekend and it resulted in a tender, fall apart type meat. It was flavorful and both my hubby and Mr. B said it would be great as a BBQ beef sandwich!
This is a really easy recipe! Just make the marinade, dump it over the beef, cover with foil and bake at 300 degrees for 4 hours.
The result is really tender beef that falls apart with a fork!
- ½ Cup Barbecue Sauce
- ½ Cup Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Can Stewed Tomatoes (with juice)
- Beef Brisket (about 3 lbs.)
- Preheat over to 300 degrees.
- In a bowl mix together the barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce and stewed tomatoes.
- Place beef brisket in a roasting pan. Pour marinade over top.
- Cover with foil.
- About halfway through cooking, I pulled the brisket out and spooned the marinade over the meat again.
- Cook for 4 hours.
