We are gearing up for Halloween in our household! My boys are sooooo excited this year and they both want to dress up as monsters. We started making a few Halloween themed treats last weekend using Snyder’s of Hanover Pretzels.This was a fun activity for me and the boys!
Bat Pretzels
To make the bat shaped pretzels, you will need Snyder’s of Hanover Snaps, Snyder’s of Hanover Mini Pretzels, Cake Mate Black Icing and Cake Mate Decors. I used the icing in the bag with the decorators tip for easy application.
Apply a thin layer of the black icing to the middle of the pretzel snap.
Use the mini pretzels for the winds. Just place two mini pretzels on top of the icing on the snap.
Use a decorators tip to apply black icing along the top of the mini pretzels. Just outline the pretzels with frosting to give it a little black color. Use the Cate Mate Decors to apply eyes on top of the snap.
My boys had a great time helping me make these salty sweet treats. We loved that they were bite size!
We also made scary faces and pumpkins using the pretzels and icing. To make both the scary face and the pumpkin, just use a snap and a mini pretzel. The snap is the base and the mini pretzel is placed on top with icing in the middle to hold it together. Decorate to your hearts desire!

those are adorable for Halloween. You can put a rolo on a mini pretzel, put in oven until soft and top with another mini pretzel (squish it a little)–these are popular for parties.
