Friday morning I was diligently working right here on How to Have it All trying to schedule posts so that I could spend the afternoon with the family. The boys were playing well together in their room. A few minutes went by and I noticed all was quiet. When children are quiet, something is up! Parents know that it is never a good sign when all is quiet in the house (unless the children are sleeping of course!).
I peek around the corner to find crayons and cards all over the place. Upon further inspection I discover they are my business cards! Some are folded and others have drawings all over them.
So I ask Capt. M “Why did you write all over mommies business cards?”
Capt. M replies “Mom you have a TON of them!”
Yes I do have a ton because I ordered in bulk for a cheaper price! It was certainly cute to see them playing with my cards and having How to Have it All all over the floor. Capt. M kindly put back the unmarked cards and we both learned a lesson. For me, I will guard my business cards a little more closely. For Capt. M, he learned that a little card has value even if he doesn’t understand what they exactly do.
It could have been worse! At least they weren’t drawing on the floor or the wall!
