Hello Better: U.S. Cellular No Contract Cell Phone Service

Cell phones, it’s a love hate relationship. More and more people are ditching their landlines and using cell phones primarily. We took the plunge a year ago into the cell phone only world. Most of the time, it’s just plain convenient to have your phone with you at all times. The bad part about cell phones is the contracts that most carriers require.

On a recent trip, my friend left her cell phone in a cab. Unfortunately the cab company was unable to locate the missing phone. My friend went to her cell phone carrier to ask about a replacement phone. It was going to cost her over $200 for a basic phone since she didn’t want to renew her contract.

U.S. Cellular thinks we deserve better! U.S. Cellular is encouraging people to say goodbye to dysfunctional wireless relationships and say hello to a better experience. Goodbye neglect, hello respect. With the Hello Better campaign, U.S. Cellular provides customers with unique benefits such as the industry’s only points-based rewards program, no contract after the first contract ends, free incoming calls and texts, free Overage Protection and free Battery Swap for your device.

A study conducted by U.S. Cellular indicates that 43 percent of individuals are in the ‘seven year itch’ phase with their wireless provider, noting they are comfortable but suspect they are missing out on something better. I am not currently a U.S. Cellular user but I am intrigued by their no contract program. I will definitely compare their services to my current providers when our contract is up.

Have you switched cell phone providers recently? I would love to hear about the research you have done!
