Earlier this week I informed you about National Children’s Dental Health Month. I was excited to find out that the Jim Henson Company is partnering with Sunstar Americas, Inc. to help promote healthy smiles. Sunstar Americas makes GUM toothbrushes which I absolutely love! My boys use the GUM toothbrushes with the suction cup base and I use one of their adult brushes. GUM has released a new Dinosaur Train themed brush that kids are sure to love.
Just like Buddy loses his teeth on Dinosaur Train, kids lose primary teeth to make way for permanent teeth. Tyrannosaurus Rex replaced their teeth throughout their lives but you only get two sets so it is especially important to practice good dental care.
Follow these helpful tips for strong teeth and a healthy smile!
1. Twice a day: Brush your teeth when you wake up and before you go to bed.
2. Take your time: Brush your teeth for 2 minutes and be sure to include your tongue!
3. Be kind to your gums: Brush with a soft bristle toothbrush.
4. Get the hard to reach places: Floss your teeth every day.
5. See your dentist twice a year!

The Thomas the train set…..he loves it!
Sophia loves all of her dental tools: toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss…….She thinks we have to buy something for her teeth each time we visit the store! I have to convince her that we don’t need it yet or that we don’t have a coupon for it! She was excited to see these toothbrushes and compare them to the cartoon that was on this a.m.

My children love to take care of their teeth! They see the dentist twice a year, or when needed. My boys love to use the spinning tooth brushes and mouth wash. When ever we are down the isle with dental care my youngest pics all things up saying hey mom do you want to try this? He is so funny.
