I headed to Kroger on Sunday to scope out some of the unadvertised Mega Event deals. I ended up buying 20 participating Mega Event items along with other items we needed. Since I have been using meat from our freezer for the last few weeks, it was time to stockup again. Kroger has a great price on chicken this week- $0.79/lb. for a whole chicken or thighs or legs. I will probably go back later this week to grab a couple more whole chickens. I throw them in the freezer as packaged and it works out great!

I also had free coupons for the Lay’s chips and the Minute Maid Orange Juice. The Sundrop Soda was another great deal at $0.13 after eCoupon.

Spent: $55.93
Saved: $50
Received: (2) $3 catalina coupons good on my next order. These can be used on most items in the store.
The meat alone was $20.84. Not to mention I bought two gallons of milk and produce!
I doubt I will buy much more from the Mega Event. There is only so much convenience food that we need and it seems like most of the items this time are just that. Plus Harris Teeter will have Super Double coupons starting Wednesday!
