Happy New Year’s to my wonderful readers! I am so incredibly thankful for each one of you. How to Have it All recently reached it’s one year anniversary. I am amazed and honored to see such growth this last year.
2011 was all about finding what worked best for this blog. My previous blog was mostly a deal type blog which was very time consuming. My goal for How to Have it All was to have a content post everyday- whether that be an easy recipe, couponing tip, parenting post, ways to save money or some random thought. I can’t help but love the deals though! So currently you will find a mix of deals, coupons, Kroger deals and content posts.
I have high hopes and goals for 2012- personal and for the blog. I am not big on resolutions because I think most resolutions are never reached. I do think it’s a good idea to have some goals.
Personal Goals
Life is about to drastically change in our household. Hubby embarks on his new career as stay at home dad and he reports for duty 1/2/12. I know it is going to take several weeks to get our new schedule in order and it is sure to be an adventure. I will be writing about our adventures in Daddy Daycare in the coming weeks. Many of my personal goals evolve around our new lifestyle.
- Cook ahead more and plan freezer meals. Since hubby can only make things like boxed macaroni and cheese, I will need to cook ahead more. Plus I will be teaching him some cooking skills- that should be fun!
- I need to exercise. I know this is on most people’s lists. I have reached a point in my life where I can’t just eat what I want.
- Cook healthier foods and more from scratch. As I learn more about things like MSG, preservatives, nitrates, etc. I want to eliminate this stuff from our diet as much as possible. I am realistic though, we will still eat some convenience foods.
Blog Goals
- Keep better records for tax purposes. I am terrible about organizing paperwork.
- Double readership. This is where you can all help by spreading the word!
- Come up with new content and series to make my blog different from others.
- Continue to learn about SEO and how to better improve my blog.
I would also love to hear from all of you about your ideas for How to Have it All. What do you want to learn or read about? What are your goals for the New Year?
