It’s week three of the 30 Day Giving Challenge! Ican’t believe it- we are halfway through the month of giving. I hope that you have taken time this month to reflect on the things that you are thankful for. Sometimes I find myself stressed and down. When I stoop and think about the many blessings in my life I am reminded that there are so many people who are worse off than me. It is these little reflections that make giving that much sweeter.
Remember that giving does not have to be on a large scale. Sometimes small things are the ones that really make a difference. Here are some ideas for giving this week:
- Pack Shoe Boxes for Operation Christmas Child
- Make a recipe using Johnsonville Italian Sausage and then leave a comment on the post HERE. Johnsonville will donate $50 for each comment up to $1,000 to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.
- Pick up trash. This is a great way to teach children about littering! We will pickup trash on our road by the end of our driveway.
- Help cashiers bag groceries. My local Kroger is really shorthanded. The cashiers are stressed with long lines and having to bag groceries. I have started bagging my own to help out.
- Leave a little extra tip for the waiter or waitress.
- Do a favor for a friend. Sometimes giving time is one of the hardest things!
What are your ideas for giving this week?

Bagging groceries is a great idea! We’ve been making a lot of phone calls and writing cards to people. We made cookies for a friend and next week we’re making playdough for my kids’ friends! Have a great week!
