I (Litsa) love honey but I can’t say that I’m very familiar with ‘creamed honey’. A question about creamed honey was recently featured in my Real Simple magazine:
What is creamed honey?
Creamed honey starts as the normal liquid, then crystallizes in a controlled process. To stretch your store-bought jar of creamed honey mix it with the liquid variety. The creamed portion adds texture, while the liquid lends flavor. Stir together one part creamed honey (available HERE on Amazon) and nine parts liquid honey in a glass jar. Refrigerator in a sealed jar for one week to let it crystallize, then store at room temperature.
Real Simple states that the small uniform crystals make creamed honey smooth and spreadable—perfect on toast!
Sounds like the perfect breakfast as fall approaches—-linger inside a little longer and enjoy creamed honey on toast! If you can find a local creamed honey, even better! Remember that honey helps fight allergies!
