Do you have unused glass candlesticks and vases hanging around? Well, here is an easy craft that will make for a beautiful centerpiece! I came across this idea from Myra at My Blessed Life several months ago. I finally got around to making my own pretty centerpiece!
What you need:
Glass candlesticks
Glas vases or bowls
Epoxy, Glass or Gorilla Glue
I had one of the glass bowls already. The other pieces I bought from a junk shop for $2.50 total. The glue I bought at Michael’s with a 50% off coupon making it just $2!
Wash and dry the glassware. Match up the candlestick with the vase or bowl you want to use. Make sure they fit well together and that there is a flat surface on the candlestick. Apply a small amount of the glue to the candlestick and then place the vase on top.
Balance a book on top of the glass. The glue I used (glass glue) said to dry in full sunlight for about 30 minutes.
When your project is dry, it’s time to fill the vase or bowl!
What I love about this project is that it can be used for every season. Currently I have plastic eggs and jelly beans for Easter. Pine cones, candles, gourds, glass ball ornaments and so much more will probably find their way into these glass bowls!
I plan on making a few more that are taller hurricane shaped out of vases.
Make sure to check out the rest of my easy crafts!
