Life With Boys: Personal Christmas Tree

On Saturday we hauled out all of the Christmas decor and put up our Christmas tree. We had considered buying a live tree this year but since we may travel after Christmas, we didn’t want to worry about a dry tree.

Our boys were busy going through ornaments and clumping placing them on the tree. When they weren’t looking, hubby and I would reposition ornaments to space them out. A couple of years ago I bought the boys personal trees to place in their rooms as nightlights. This also allows the boys to decorate their trees however they wish.

Mr. B took his tree to his room and all was quiet. After a few minutes I peek in to see his decorating!

He strung the lights and placed all of the ornaments on himself. He even asked for a star to put on top!

He was soooo proud of his tree! The decorations and lights still lay just as Mr. B had placed them. After all, it is HIS tree and he can decorate it as he wishes. To him, it is beautiful!

If you have younger children, consider getting them a personal tree to decorate. They will love being in control of their own decorations and it will allow them to use their creative side!

I had placed them in a ziploc bag! She took the bag and ran to her room to place them on her own personal Christmas tree (this one here is Mr. B’s, Renae’s son). […]
