It’s amazing how our family (Litsa’s) can sit outside and only two of us have the pleasure of attracting every mosquito in the city! My husband is never touched but the unpleasant bites appear all over my body and my daughter’s too. Thus, I was very interested in Teraona Low Dog, MD’s Buzz-Off Oil that was featured in Prevention magazine’s pages last spring! Here’s what you’ll need to mix together:
Buzz-Off Oil
8 oz almond oil
¼ tsp lemon eucalyptus essential oil
1/8 tsp geranium essential oil
1/8 tsp lavender essential oil
Put almond oil in a bottle, add essential oils, and shake well. Apply a small amount to your arm and leave on for 30 minutes to make sure you’re not sensitive to any of the ingredients. If you have no reaction, then apply to exposed skin every 3 to 4 hours when outdoors. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and nose.
Tierona says, “If I were heading out into the wilds of a dense tropical rain forest with swarms of skeeters, I’d grab the DEET. However, gentler essential oils can be excellent allies when it comes to keeping mosquitoes away!”
Another great tidbit that I enjoyed as I (Litsa) get ready for planting season, “Planting marigolds, bee balm also help ward off flying vampires—they hate the smells of those pretty blooms.”
Concoct your list and get ready for a bite free spring & summer this year!

Sounds like it would smell pretty good! Much better than that citronella smell!
