heartfelt holiday

I hope you are all enjoying my homemade gift ideas! I am sure enjoying making them! This homemade plate stand is something that any of you can do. The most expensive part is the Gorilla Glue- although once you buy that you will have enough for many, many projects to come.

gorilla glue plates

I found the plates and candle holder at Goodwill for $0.95 each. You will need two plates- one a little smaller than the other. I chose a silver candle holder but you could use a glass one too. Just make sure that the candle holder has a flat bottom and top.

All I did was follow the directions on the Gorilla Glue bottle. Basically place a small amount of glue on the candle holder and dampen the plate with water. I apologize for not taking pictures of this step!

So you want the candle holder to sandwiched between the two plates. You need to glue the candle holder to the large plate first and then glue the small plate on top of the candle holder. I stacked books on top of the small plate until the glue was dry.

plate stand and decor

I placed my plate stand on a charger for a little extra flare. The plate stand can be used for snacks or for displaying decor! I plan on looking for plate patterns that match some of my family members decor and making them their own personal plate stands as gifts.

What do you think? Pretty neat for under $3!
