Working in the kitchen is made easier when you have the proper tools. A sharp knife is one of those kitchen essentials! I recently received a set of Good Cook Non-Stick Knives. I admit that I had no clue how dull my knives were until I started using the Good Cook knives. What a difference! I especially noticed that I was able to cut my produce more efficiently with the new knives.
These Non-stick knives are made from high-carbon steel , which stay sharp through regular use. Better yet, the non-stick surface prevents food from sticking to the knife. Since these knives are super sharp, they come with a protective sheath for safe storage. Plus they are color coded- so you always know which knife goes with which sheath! And a side note, these knives are so sharp that they are not meant to be used by children- just an FYI for all of you that cook with your children!
I was asked to review six of the Good Cook Non-stick Knives and pick my favorite. It was really hard to narrow down my favorite! I really like the green pairing knife with the 4″ blade for everyday slicing and dicing. However, I also like the Non-stick Santoku Knife with a 5″ blade for chopping. I try to be resourceful when I cook and pick items that I can use for multiple tasks. The Santoku knife allows me to chop produce and then cut a quesadilla into slices.
My new favorite quick meal is a goat cheese quesadilla with sundried tomatoes, mushrooms and pesto sauce grilled to perfection in my Good Cook pan. The Santoku knife was my knife of choice for this recipe to chop the sundried tomatoes and the mushrooms. I then used the knife to slice the quesadilla after it was grilled.
If you are in need of new cutlery, make sure you checkout the Good Cook Non-stick line. Right now you can save 30% off these knives at GoodCook.com with promo code NONSTICK. Coupon code expires 4/15/13.
