As I logged on to catchup on the news the one article that caught my eye was $4 Gas Coming Soon to A Pump Near You.
Ugh.
As we edge towards Spring, gas prices always go up. Start planning and saving now to offset the increase. Since we live in the country, we don’t really have a choice for alternate transportation. But I will start planning my shopping trips a little more and probably resort to grocery shopping every two weeks. Kroger is a good 40 minute drive for me. Cutting down on my shopping trips will certainly help with the gas bill.
Last year I wrote a post on tips for fuel efficiency. Make sure to read and prepare for higher prices at the pump.
And for fun, what are prices like in your area currently? I’ll go first, Central Virginia $3.49/ gallon for 87 octane.

I’m just right around the corner from the grocery store. My longest trip is going to church and my husband and I have to take 2 seperate cars because he goes to work directly after church. I also drive around to pick up lunches for work, but I get reimbursed .55 cents per mile. It helps with gas a tiny bit but not much.
In Salem Va, $3.55/87 octane.

Thanks for catching my typing error Kathy! Late night typing always gets me in trouble!
