It’s dip season! I don’t know why, but summer tends to be the season for dipping! We like to make dip for vegetables and chips. This is a healthier dip since it doesn’t have mayonnaise or sour cream! Lower calorie and a little protein makes this a great dip for summer!
- 1 can black beans drained (15 oz)
- 1 /2 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon dried onion powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cumin
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon ground paprika (and a little more for sprinkling over the finished dip)
- Juice of 1⁄2 or 3⁄4 of a lemon
- Combine all of the ingredients in food processor and pulse until smooth.
- Or you can add a little bit of water to your blender and combine these ingredients in it---add water as you are blending so that your dip isn’t too runny.
- Serve with your favorite crackers and/or fresh vegetable spears.
